This role is essential to driving the growth and success of the Benchmarks 360 (BM360) product through proactive product management, cross-functional leadership, and accountability. The Lead Product Manager for BM360 requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to excel under high-pressure deadlines. As a key leader in the product lifecycle, the Lead Product Manager will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products while fostering collaboration, alignment, and trust with the advisory services and technology teams.
The Lead Product Manager will play a pivotal role in BM360’s initial launch, and continued evolution of additional phases, including providing input on the development and execution of a comprehensive five-year roadmap. This involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, and client support teams to achieve revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Additionally, you will work with both the advisory business team and Clinician Nexus Product Delivery teams to deliver an industry-leading product.
The Lead Product Manager role demands not only delivering results but also implementing technology solutions cost-effectively and efficiently, ensuring BM360 remains an industry-leading benchmark product.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Technical Liaison:
  • A primary responsibility of this role is to effectively communicate the functional needs and feature requirements of the business to the technical teams, including the product owner. This includes capturing user acceptance testing (UAT) feedback from the advisory team and translating it effectively to the technology team.
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional business teams within the physician and advanced practice provider (APP) workforce practice, marketing, finance and technical teams.
  • Evaluate system, application, and data components and use critical thinking to effectively manage priorities, timelines and user needs, facilitating communication between business departments and technical teams.
  • Prioritize goals and objectives based on findings as the product evolves and constructively document so the technical teams can implement.
  • Present project deliverables and change requests, updates, and issues to stakeholders and project teams.

      • Lead by example to foster trust, respect, and alignment within cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts and maintaining team cohesion.

      • Develop and execute benchmark product strategies that align with evolving market needs and organizational goals, ensuring clarity and accountability across all workstreams.
      • Drive product growth, profitability, and overall vision to ensure products meet the needs of the marketplace.
      • Proactively identify and address risks or gaps in planning to ensure critical milestones are met. Communicate clearly with stakeholders to avoid misalignment and delays.
      • Demonstrate a high degree of adaptability to meet changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and outcomes.
      • Familiar with competitive dynamics, including benchmarking competitors to drive differentiation and adoption.
      • Market Research and Voice of the Customer:
      • Responsible for conducting in-depth market research, understanding client needs, and orchestrating product development from ideation to launch.
      • Leverage client and feedback collected from client events, including demos and conferences, to prioritize feature enhancements and drive early adoption.
      • Stay abreast of market and industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
      • Research and develop a deep understanding of market and industry trends with a focus on client needs, competitor offerings, market dynamics, and new technologies leveraging internal tools and framework.
      • Synthesize feedback from current and potential users, including the consulting workforce, to inform the product strategy and roadmap.
      • Conduct regular voice-of-customer sessions to generate new product ideas and detailed product requirements for new product line offerings, in partnership with UX, when applicable.
      • Go-To-Market Strategy:
      • Co-lead and conduct product demos for individual clients and present/display at national conferences. This may include coordinating with lead consultants assigned to a client or with other key stakeholders.
      • Own the development and monitoring of new products, features, and enhancements from conceptualization to on-time release.
      • Lead go-to-market activities, including pricing, packaging, and branding, and a tight partnership with Marketing to drive awareness and recognition.
      • Orchestrate product launch activity, coordinating product messaging, supporting sales training, and marketing material creation.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
      • Develop partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive alignment across the Product Development teams, Marketing, Customer Success, Consulting, and Business Development.
      • Recommend and execute improvements to product launch process, driving continuous improvement measured by new product development KPIs, achieving product performance success measures in revenue, market adoption, and total cost of ownership.

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      Minimum Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
      • 7+ years of experience in marketing, product management, and/or business development, including:
      • 5 years as a product manager with experience creating and presenting product roadmaps.
      • 5 years working in agile product development methodology (e.g., user stories, scrum teams, sprints).
      • 3 years of health care experience or direct experience with a similar benchmarking product.
      • Proven track record of taking full ownership of deliverables, committed to meeting deadlines and achieving project goals.
      • Strong knowledge of the health care benchmarking landscape.
      • Project management experience, including creating project plans and resource estimates, identifying dependencies, and documenting and communicating decisions and risks.
      • Strategic mindset with a focus on execution.
      • Strong critical thinking skills in the ability to apply analytical and proactive thinking in a logical, coherent, and consistent approach to ensure robust and appropriate client solutions.
      • Ability to use Figma (or similar tool) to create demos or client stories and Pendo (or similar tool) to actively client user feedback.
      • Knowledge of and ability to use multiple IT resources (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS SharePoint) at an advanced level.
      • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to successfully assist with project deliverables and apply an appropriate sense of urgency to achieve goals in a very driven and changing organization.
