Overview The Response UX team owns the user experience of the Microsoft 365 Copilot response across all surfaces and we are on a mission to craft the next generation of AI‑first interaction patterns for millions of users. We design and deliver how Copilot reasons, responds, explains, cites and interact - ensuring that every Copilot experience is high quality, trustworthy and grounded. You will be part of a high agency, fast‑paced experimentation‑driven culture focused on raising the quality bar for AI responses, crafting new interaction paradigms, and shaping the user’s mental model for how Copilot behaves across the M365 ecosystem. Response UX sits at the heart of the Microsoft 365 Copilot chat, we partner deeply with designers, engineers, applied scientists and user researchers across the company. We invest heavily in team health, mentorship, and growth for PMs. Responsibilities We are looking for a curious, customer‑obsessed and AI forward Product Manager who is passionate about building model driven, multi-modal user experiences, defining UX quality systems, and shaping Copilot’s chat's response behavior across various surfaces. This is a highly cross‑functional, high‑ownership role where you will drive initiatives that define: How Copilot responses transition from text only to multi-modal. How do we improve and evaluate response UX quality How do we facilitate task completion You will work across product, engineering, design, and applied science to build systems that scale to millions of users—and shape the UX patterns that differentiate Microsoft 365 Copilot from competition. What You’ll Do Define the strategy, roadmap and success measurement for features within the Copilot response experience. Drive experimentation, including hypothesis‑driven A/B tests, relevance improvements Translate customer feedback, telemetry insights, and competitive analysis into clear product decisions. Partner with design and engineering to build high‑quality, multimodal response patterns grounded in user needs. Operationalize response evaluations, quality systems and safety guardrails. Partner closely with M365 app teams (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams, Loop, etc.) Simplify complex technical areas (LLMs, grounding, ranking, multimodal pipelines) into crisp narratives for decision‑making. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in Product Management for large‑scale customer facing systems. Experience in UX design and front-end engineering systems. High degree of user empathy, design intuition and creativity. Experience in LLM based product prototyping, development and evaluation systems. Ability to drive alignment in large, matrixed organizations. Excellent written and verbal communication.
