As Product Manager(Software), you are responsible for the life cycle management of software for Material Science applications in R&D and QC markets in the assigned regions. Tasks Strategic management and development of the product portfolio over the entire life cycle Development and implementation of product strategies in coordination with global and cross-functional teams Provide timely feedback and work closely with R&D on daily basis to execute product development plan. Responsible for SW P&L including monitoring sales results and activities as well as pricing strategy/cost calculation and analysis Generate meaningful product and marketing material and conduct internal product training as part of the product launch activities Select and evaluate 3rd party products or components to complement the product portfolio Leverage deep product and application knowledge to address complex customer questions when necessary Stay well informed of product-relevant technology and market dynamics as well as customer needs You will be able to absorb market key aspects, success criteria, risks and opportunities rapidly and effectively. International travel up to 30% Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor. Requirements Min Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field with equivalent work experience in technical field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in product development, marketing or sales, preferably of microscopic imaging systems or cameras Solid technical proficiency across techniques related to Material Science, Imaging, and/or Industrial Microscopy (not required to be a subject matter expert). Proven experience in software product management (preferred). Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies (preferred). Strong customer orientation with the ability to translate user needs into actionable product requirements. Demonstrated business acumen with a focus on driving revenue growth and profitability. Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with a market-driven, results-oriented mindset. Ability to simplify and present complex topics in a clear and compelling manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required; proficiency in French and/or German is an added advantage. Ability to work autonomously while travelling in various time zones.
