This position is currently based in our Cambridge, MA office. Please note that our offices will be relocating to Waltham, MA later this year, and this role will transition accordingly. Position Summary: Akebia is seeking a high-impact, mission-driven and collaborative Product Manager to play a key role in executing engaging marketing initiatives that drive adoption and sustained growth of Vafseo. This role will work closely with marketing leaders and cross-functional partners to support HCP and/or patient-facing programs across personal and non-personal channels. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, performance-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic biotech environment. This role reports directly to the Director, Marketing. Job Summary: · Contribute to the development of the marketing plans for Vafseo across personal and non-personal marketing tactics · Ensure alignment of marketing materials with approved brand campaign and messages · Execute marketing materials to support HCP and patient communications across personal and non-personal communications (e.g. sales brochures, marketing CRM, etc.) · Execute marketing tactics at national and regional congresses in partnership with the personal promotion lead and meetings management · Collaborate effectively with Promotional Review Committee (PRC) partners to ensure execution aligns with brand strategy and marketing timelines · Support additional marketing initiatives and special projects as needed, including brand planning, budget tracking, and other ad hoc assignments to advance business objectives · Develop and maintain strong relationships with areas outside the marketing team, including sales, commercial operations, medical affairs, regulatory, legal and compliance · Effectively manage agencies to achieve high quality deliverables within time and budget scopes · Support the brand team with assistance on process for contracts and procurement · Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for patients Basic Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree required · Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare creative agency · Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, communications or PR with experience working with HCP and/or patient marketing in personal or digital channels Preferred Qualifications: · Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams · Proven project management skills and attention to detail including budget and time management · Experience managing agencies and external vendors · Strong written and communication skills · Occasional travel to attend sales meetings and relevant medical congresses within the U.S. Compensation: Targeted Base: $109,547-$135,323 * *Base Compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Base pay is only one component of the company’s total rewards package, all regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or the incentive compensation program (if applicable), as well as equity.
