ABOUT THE ROLE

The Product Manager for Mixer serves as a subject matter expert in both product and market domains, supporting the Global Product Management team in overseeing the full product lifecycle of the HARMAN Professional mixer portfolio. This role plays a key part in shaping portfolio strategies aligned with the long-term vision for the segment and requires deep technical knowledge of mixer products and their applications.
The Product Manager will lead market research efforts, develop product requirement documents, specifications, and pricing strategies, and draft business plans. Additionally, they will provide technical and logistical support across the mixer portfolio and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Sales, R&D, Engineering, Customer Service, Applications Support, Marketing, and Management—as well as global colleagues and external customers across multiple time zones.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Champion products through all lifecycle stages—from concept to development, launch, promotion, mid-life, and end-of-life—by collaborating with Engineering, Project Teams, Application Specialists, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Recommend product line strategies by evaluating specifications and performance, assessing new product ideas, preparing business cases, conducting ROI analyses, and drafting/editing concept documents.
  • Influence pricing decisions using market research, production and sales cost reviews, and consolidated sales forecasts from global regional teams.
  • Conduct competitive market research and gather customer requirements to understand application demands and inform product development.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams for the professional mixer market, including occasional evening calls with global team members.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Communications to shape strategies that drive product market share.
  • Deliver technical training and product support to Sales, Application Specialists, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support product marketing initiatives including promotions, trade shows, and sales events.
  • Assist in organizing customer demonstrations and internal listening sessions.
  • Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending workshops, reviewing publications, building networks, and engaging in industry associations.
