Description
Nexl is looking for a Senior Product Manager who is deeply customer-obsessed, commercially minded, and strong in product discovery. This role is focused on understanding customer pain points, identifying the highest-value opportunities, and ensuring product teams are solving the right problems in ways that create measurable value for both customers and the business. This role will work closely with the CPTO, Head of Engineering, Founder and CEO and the cross functional team that you are embedded in.  The Senior Product Manager will work across two product squads as their PM, partnering closely with Engineering and Design in an AI-first environment. Engineering owns delivery execution with your support, while this role is accountable for discovery, prioritisation, activation, outcome definition, evidence-based decision-making, and helping squads operate with greater autonomy, clarity, and accountability.  This is a high ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, challenges assumptions constructively, and can lift the performance of the people around them. The right person will be equally comfortable discussing customer pain points, product adoption, retention, commercial impact, and return on investment.  * Lead discovery across two product squads, working with Engineering and Design to define customer problems and opportunities clearly.  * Build deep customer understanding through continuous discovery, including interviews, observation, and feedback loops.  * Use AI tools such as Loveable, Claude Code, Replit, Devin and others to build, test and iterate prototypes and MVPs with customers  * Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into product direction, prioritised opportunities, and clear recommendations.  * Define desired outcomes, success measures, and decision criteria for product initiatives.  * Shape and maintain product roadmaps that balance short-term priorities with longer-term company objectives.  * Track adoption, engagement, and product performance, and use those signals to guide what comes next.  * Connect product metrics to company metrics and evaluate the ROI of product investments.  * Partner with Sales and Client Success to capture feedback, support launches, drive activation and validate what is being built solves real problems.  * Work with Finance and Operations where needed to support commercialisation and bring products to market effectively.  * Bring curiosity, structure, and clarity to the product process, helping Nexl build smarter and learn faster.  * Hold yourself and your cross-functional counterparts to a high bar of accountability, performance, and outcomes.  What Success Looks Like:  * Your squads are consistently working on the most important customer problems, that results in movement of product and business metrics.   * Product decisions are grounded in customer evidence, product data, and commercial impact.  * Teams operate with greater autonomy and less dependence on top-down direction.  * Product investments can be clearly linked to business outcomes and strategic priorities.  * You help build a stronger product culture at Nexl, one that is more customer-led, outcome-driven, and accountable.  Must haves: * 5+ years of Product Management experience, working closely with engineering in Lean, Shape Up or similar product development environments. B2B SaaS environment is preferable.   * Strong customer discovery capability, with a demonstrated passion for speaking directly with customers and understanding their pain points.  * Proven ability to drive outcomes, not just outputs or feature delivery.  * Proficient in using Gen AI and agentic AI tools to improve speed, quality, synthesis, and decision support across discovery, analysis, and day-to-day product work.  * Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to connect product metrics to company metrics and evaluate the ROI of product investments.  * Evidence-driven decision-making, combining product analytics, customer insight, qualitative feedback, and business context.  * Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making sound judgment calls when data is incomplete, and moving teams forward.  * Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and design, with the confidence to challenge constructively and be challenged in return.  * Clear communicator who can adapt to engineers, designers, executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.  * High ownership and accountability mindset, with a strong bias toward impact.  Nice to haves: * Experience in professional services, legal, or compliance-driven industries.  * Familiarity with AI-powered products, data platforms, or CRM systems.  * Experience with product analytics and user insight tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Pendo, or FullStory.  * Understanding of Lean, Shape Up or other modern product development frameworks.  * Experience building enterprise-grade products or working with complex client environments.  * High growth. A scaling environment with autonomy, ownership, and visible impact. * ESOP. Employee stock options so you share in the upside. * Tools & tech. Modern, AI-first ways of working to help you move faster and smarter, plus a work laptop. * Birthday leave. Take a paid “Nexl Day” during the week of your birthday. * Transparent by default. Fortnightly all-hands with strategy, metrics, wins, and learnings. * Purposeful connection. Team offsites and meet-ups. * Values-led culture. Guided by The Nexler Way, our values and operating principles that define who we are, how we work, and how we win together. Our Values * Committed to Care - We genuinely care about the work we do and the industry we do it for * Human at the Core - Relationships and empathy guide everything we do * Different with Purpose – We’re not afraid to stand out. We innovate boldly and deliberately
