Description Product Manager – Personal Auto Insurance (Pricing) American Freedom Insurance Company (AFIC) is a leader in the nonstandard automobile insurance industry. We are looking for a committed candidate to contribute their skills in a fast-paced and growing organization. Product managers at AFIC have direct ownership of state performance and work closely with senior leadership to drive pricing, product strategy, and market expansion initiatives. AFIC is a financially strong "A+" (Superior) AM Best and Better Business Bureau rated non-standard automobile insurer. Your Responsibilities Own the profitability and performance of assigned personal auto states through pricing, product, and regulatory strategies Identify opportunities to improve loss ratio, retention, and growth through rate and product adjustments Lead the development and implementation of rate and rule filings via SERFF Align product goals with company objectives and strengths, regulatory requirements, and profitability targets. Collaborate with Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, IT, Legal, vendors, etc. to design, price, and implement product features and to support day-to-day operations. Maintain effective relationships with state insurance departments and manage regulatory communications and inquiries. Monitor and evaluate product performance metrics (loss ratios, retention, premium growth, etc.) and recommend and implement approved adjustments to improve results. Conduct competitor, market, and industry analysis, including agent feedback, to identify pricing opportunities, product enhancements, new coverage and features opportunities. Develop strong knowledge of and ensure compliance with state requirements and effectively respond to regulatory inquiries. Contribute and reply to audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations as a subject-matter expert. Review Market Conduct Examination findings from other carriers to proactively identify and address potential compliance exposures. Initiate, lead and/or support projects and initiatives that enhance product development, operations, and/or performance. Explore and assess new opportunities to potentially include small commercial automobile coverage, telematics, a new jurisdiction, rideshare, and/or other emerging trends. Support strategic initiatives and cross-department projects that advance company objectives.
