We are looking for a highly self-motivated, talented and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our Insurance Product team in Toronto. Reporting to the Director, Insurance Products, the Product Manager plays a key role in the insurance team comprised of full stack developers, quality assurance analysts, business analysts to implement best-in-class digital insurance products for consumers and brokers. The ideal candidate brings self-motivation, tech savviness and an analytical mind.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
  • Minimum of 3 years in product management
  • Related experience within the P&C insurance industry is an asset
  • Experience gathering requirements and analyzing large sets of data
  • Energy, drive and contagious enthusiasm!
  • Proven success in overseeing elements within a product development lifecycle is an asset
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to write strong specifications, but also think strategically
  • Comfortable in making business decisions with limited information, resolving challenging issues, and providing timely escalations
  • Resilience and a high level of enthusiasm

Responsibilities
  • Drive the execution of all processes within a product lifecycle, including product and market research, planning, requirement gathering, roadmap development, and product launch
  • Conduct analysis, provide insights to stakeholders and implement solutions to improve the usability and performance of our platforms
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements that describe business use cases for development
  • Monitor key metrics that track product success and gather customer feedback to guide areas of focus and product/design decisions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
  • Support change management initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and other cross functional teams in the development, QA, and release of all products
  • Conduct analysis of competitors and industry trends to glean best practices and identify areas of improvement for our products
  • On occasion work may be required late evenings, early mornings or on weekends to support system upgrades, migrations and projects deliveries
