The Product Management team at Shopee is the key focal point between the business, engineering and design teams. The team is responsible for implementing strategy, road maps and features, while adhering to business goals. It covers all functions including but not limited to Financial Services, Supply Chain, Search, Recommendation, Advertising, Order, Promotion, User, Anti-Fraud, Seller Service. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end product ownership for SeaTalk from product planning to execution across the product development lifecycle (i.e. user research, design, delivery, and support);
  • Deep dive into the user needs to better serve various roles in companies, covering diverse stakeholders from HR, IT team, management, developers to employees;
  • Develop and enhance the SeaTalk Open Platform, including building the platform infrastructure, smoothening the user journey, and supporting the developer community;
  • Deliver systematic solutions to solve complex problems to meet enterprise management requirements, covering employee management, office automation, and governance;
  • Engage key stakeholders (i.e. User/Customers, Designers, Project Managers, Technical Teams) and coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure that strategic goals, timelines, and objectives of products are met.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, technology or equivalent professional experience will be advantageous;
  • Demonstrate strong logical and systematic thinking abilities, enabling the analysis of complex problems and the development of structured solutions;
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic working environment;
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders from diverse backgrounds;
  • Adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable to work with ambiguity and change;
  • Prior experience in product management, product owner, business process modeling and improvement is a plus;
  • Prior experience in instant messaging platforms or B2B software, SaaS Software, or Open Platform products is a plus;
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required, and proficiency in Mandarin is required for the role as the successful candidate will be required to work closely with Engineering teams based in China.
