Responsibilities • This role is responsible for: shaped and unshaped refractories; microporous product lines• Join our team and support Thermal's product family, with accountability for the revenue and profitability goals of the product family• Display infectious passion and urgency to achieve product family growth and margin expansion plans through delighting (internal and external) customers• Define and support the product vision and roadmap, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements (Voice of Customer), work closely with Business Development, Sales, Technology, Customer Service, Operations, Application Engineering, and other functions as needed to deliver growth• Ensure that the product and marketing (product, price, promotion, process) efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals• Meet or exceed new product sales targets, growing market share and margin• Collaborate with the Global Product Management team to maximize commercial success and margins for Thermal Ceramics products Opportunities to work with: Existing Products Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules Understand variance analysis, recommend strategies to maximize profits Grow product market share by working with National Sales Manager/BDM to develop product sales strategies Maintain Commercial leadership in the S&OP process, providing demand input and assuming ownership for Commercial issues and follow up actions Provides direction to Marketing Communications to manage existing product line literature/collateral New Products Develops products by identifying potential opportunities- could be (from CRM/customer visits or discussions with BDMs, TSMs, KAMs), conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables and time-integrated plans for product introduction Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, and costing special and customized orders Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs, preparing return-on-investment analyses for Capex, and establishing time schedules with Technology and Manufacturing Leads product development, strategy, and redesign from concept through development and manufacturing to market launch Provides direction to Marketing Communications for new product promotional content and needs Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Previous B2B experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel and Power Point Ability to present to all levels of an organization and key stake holders, and external customers Preferred Qualifications: BS Degree in Engineering or Marketing 3+ years of insulation industry experience Possess computer skills - MS Dynamics, advanced MS Excel MBA degree, or plan to obtain Morgan Advanced Materials is an EEO/AA/M/W/D/V Employer Ind-1
