The role | Te mahi You are going to be the champion for the core digital software platforms that power student management at the University of Otago, one of the organisations most complex and integral systems. The Product Manager works at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and operations, translating high level goals into actionable priorities while maintaining a strong understanding of day to day impacts. Working closely with the business owners and wider stakeholders, you will lead a team responsible for delivering unique, well defined, value-based change and ensure that our student management systems provide the capabilities to manage our student information. This will include designing road maps which clearly articulate specific goals and when they will happen according to the needs of the business and in alignment with various strategic initiatives. Kā Pūkeka Me Kā Wheako | Skills And Experience A strong client focus is key to success in this Product Manager position. You will be the type of person who is comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and personalities across the wider organisation and is well versed in enabling governance to make great decisions. Ideally, you will be comfortable working in agile environments, with previous Scrum Master or similar agile skills. You will have previous experience using a range of value-based metrics to monitor the success and health of products and services, using an evidence-based approach to support product decisions. You should be familiar with agile processes, and principles, with experience working with tools like JIRA and Confluence. Specific knowledge relating to Student Management Systems is a plus. Further details | Pūroko This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) position based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. The appointment range for this role os $135,897 to $148,718 per annum.
