PRODUCT MANAGER FOR AIR C2 PRODUCTS

Are you a trained Air Force Officer, and do you have the passion and creativity to define the future of our air command and control (C2) products? Then you might just be the new Product Manager we need for Systematic’s Defence business unit.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a quick learner who is an organised, highly energetic and self-motivated individual with an ambition and professional commitment to further developing our product offerings to the air C2 market.

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • 8+ years of military (air force) experience as a prerequisite
  • a knowledge of air operations planning and air mission tasking
  • a knowledge of and interest in the technology and systems supporting air C2 (software and hardware)
  • a creative mindset
  • the ability to coordinate complex problems/tasks across a larger organisation
  • excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • experience in public presentations and classroom training
  • the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams without formal authority (indirect leadership)

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

With reference to the Business Product Manager, you will be part of the product management team. You will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy for our SitaWare Air C2 products, and work with the development teams as the subject matter expert who articulates the product vision from the point of view of customers and end-users. You will work closely together with the sales team to support air sales opportunities in both the initial phase, proposal phase and when delivering projects. Furthermore, you will work with our marketing professionals to create internally and externally focused product collateral and to define the product message. The position will require regular worldwide travel to international customers and Systematic offices (20–30 days of travel a year).

In your daily work, you will:

  • define and manage the vision and strategy for expanding our Air C2 products e.g. new specialist modules or adding air modules for existing products such as SitaWare Headquarters, SitaWare Insight, SitaWare Frontline, SitaWare Aspire
  • specify product requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and by staying abreast of the latest military trends and procedures
  • provide the sales team with the necessary product knowledge, sales collateral and assistance at special customer visits
  • assist the marketing team with producing marketing campaigns that could involve websites, brochures, videos, webinars, blog posts and social media
  • represent the company at conferences and trade shows
  • provide requirements’ analysis and subject matter guidance for major air C2 proposals
  • provide development teams with insights into air C2 use cases when developing new product features
  • support the global service teams in delivering air C2 projects to their customers
