POSITION DESCRIPTION/

The Product Manager at Tangram Flex is responsible for the overall strategy, development, and success of Tangram’s products, ensuring they meet user needs and business goals by defining product vision, gathering user feedback, informing the product roadmap, prioritizing features, collaborating with cross-functional teams and overseeing the product launch and ongoing optimization. The Product Manager plays a crucial role in gathering and analyzing product feedback, aligning offerings and priorities for product market fit, and driving continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years experience in software product lifecycle management
• Possess the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
• Strong technical background and ability to engage technical and programmatic customers in the DoD market
• High customer empathy and mission focus to obtain deep understanding of relevant users, buyers, and market constraints in the DoD market
• Expertise in product management fundamentals and willingness to apply these in creative and flexible ways
• Ability to make data-driven recommendations and decisions and present data and analysis to stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills with a variety of functional areas
• Understanding of software and software product companies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Travel is required for client meetings and industry conference

Preferred Skills:

• Certificate or degree in product management
• Demonstrated success in software product management in DoD markets

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/

• Develop, execute, and refine product strategies to expand Tangram’s product market fit in current and new markets
• Define the product vision, market analysis, identifying target users, and creating a long-term product roadmap.
• Work closely with engineering, growth team, marketing, and company leadership to ensure alignment and successful product delivery
• Conduct market analysis and research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends; craft personas, use cases, and narratives that resonate with engineers, developers, and technical buyers
• Lead the Product Council team to prioritize product development lifecycle from concept through launch (product roadmap)
• Evaluate potential features based on business impact, user value, and technical feasibility, and prioritizing them for development.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling and consistent messaging that clearly communicates Tangram product’s value proposition, differentiators, and benefits across target markets.
• Plan and execute successful product feature launches, go-to-market strategy, pricing, and positioning
• Gather and analyze product metrics and user feedback to drive product improvements
• Integrate customer feedback to refine messaging and strategies
• Tracking product performance metrics, analyzing user behavior, and making data-driven decisions to optimize the product.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to engage in job-driven self-education to acquire knowledge essential for the role
• Function well in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a product management role
• Demonstrated familiarity and credibility in DoD markets
• Experience in software industry and understanding of software products
