POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Manager will drive discovery, experimentation, vision, strategy, and delivery across one of our many technical products. Our technical products cover the entire insurance value chain, enabling frictionless customer and agent experiences during shopping, quoting, servicing, and claims processing. They also enable our users to create, modify, and underwrite our insurance products.

EDUCATION:

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience in product management

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in business, computer science, data science, or engineering

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

• 3+ years product management and/or product design
• 3+ years managing complex initiatives from initiation to completion using product management processes and best practices
• Experience in defining and implementing product metrics to track performance and success
• Experience handling all stages of product delivery
• Experience representing various customers and stakeholders during planning

Preferred:

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management for Data Products
• 5+ years working hands-on with ML pipelines, ML Ops, and data science tools
• 5+ working as a data scientist, analyst, machine learning engineer, or similar role
• Deep expertise in data platforms and data products
• Experience with building agile teams
• Experience with Jira and/or Aha!
• Familiarity with product/design/user-centered thinking
• Familiarity with product development lifecycle
• Understanding of data platforms, data architecture, data-as-a-product
• Familiarity with AI, LLMs, evaluation, and data quality
• Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Solid understanding of basic P&C insurance technology, including their functionality, limitations, advantages, and future direction
• Basic understand of the insurance technology ecosystem including common integrations and dependencies
• Skilled at managing products with an active development roadmap
• Proficient at influencing your product team and cross-functional business teams using earned leadership and strong communication skills
• Experience working in agile software delivery
• Able to develop and present complex problems in a straightforward way
• Exceptional verbal, oral, and written communication skills
