Description
Who we are Founded in Scottsdale, Arizona, equipifi is a fast growing, early-stage SaaS fintech building the credit infrastructure for modern banking. We make Buy Now, Pay Later a native banking product by powering financial institutions with flexible financing solutions embedded within their digital banking experience. Learn more at equipifi.com. Our team is built on experience, talent, and - most importantly, attitude. We thrive in a fast-paced environment and value infinite curiosity, a people-first mindset, and a shared commitment to learning, growth, and pride in the work we do. At equipifi, we practice radical transparency, encouraging team members to move quickly, share ideas openly, and collaborate with peers who will respectfully challenge one another as we learn, build, and grow together. Success in this role comes from the ability to adapt fast, question the status quo, explore new ideas, and ask thoughtful (sometimes uncomfortable) questions— - all while maintaining momentum in service of better customer outcomes. The work we do takes a village - and in an environment that moves fast, we embrace the adventure together. Where you’ll make an impact As our Product Owner for Core & Digital Banking Integrations, you’ll help power the engine behind equipifi’s BNPL platform. You won’t just manage a backlog — you’ll shape how our product connects into banking ecosystems, scales with confidence, and delivers real value to financial institutions and their customers. From roadmap strategy to post-launch optimization, you’ll sit at the center of product, engineering, and client conversations, turning complex banking requirements into elegant, deployable solutions. Outcomes You’ll Own Platform Evolution & Integration Excellence You’ll define and refine how our BNPL platform integrates with core and digital banking systems. That means identifying gaps, shaping enhancements, and ensuring our architecture supports seamless, scalable interactions across systems. Stability, performance, and user experience aren’t afterthoughts — they’re table stakes. Roadmap to Release (and Beyond) You’ll turn business objectives and success metrics into clear product roadmaps — and then translate those roadmaps into actionable, well-defined work for engineering. From use case discovery through launch and iteration, you’ll own the lifecycle. Healthy backlog? Clear acceptance criteria? Smooth releases? That’s your zone. Cross-Functional Leadership & Market Impact You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and customers to ensure what we build drives adoption and market penetration. You’ll support prospect diligence conversations, educate stakeholders on platform capabilities, and serve as the steady product voice engineers can rely on throughout development. What you bring to equipifi 5–7 years of experience on a product team working with banking core and/or digital platforms A strong grasp of lending and banking ecosystems — you understand how the pieces connect (and what happens when they don’t) A rare blend of business instincts and technical fluency — you can talk architecture with engineers and strategy with executives Experience owning product backlogs and writing crisp, testable user stories with clear acceptance criteria A deep understanding of Lean Product Development and how to ship value early and often Comfort operating in fast-paced environments where priorities shift — and the ability to calmly untangle competing demands A track record of turning ambiguous ideas into shipped, stable, user-friendly solutions Strong collaboration skills — you build trust across engineering, sales, operations, and customers Experience with Jira, Git, and modern version management workflows Advanced comfort with Excel and other MS Office tools (yes, spreadsheets still matter) Natural curiosity — you ask “why,” “what if,” and “how can this be better?” on a regular basis Self-motivated and proactive — you don’t wait for someone to hand you clarity; you help create it Your future team This role reports directly to Zac Elhers, our Director of Product Management. You’ll work closely with our Engineering team and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, leadership, and customer success teams to ensure our integrations drive real-world results. equipifi benefits Competitive compensation includes stock options offered to all employees Unlimited Paid Time Off, plus paid holidays, and parental leave Flexible hybrid office/work from home philosophy. 401(k) program available with 50% match up to 5% Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance coverage with 100% of employee premiums paid for by equipifi and 50% for dependents’ premiums Long-term and Short-term disability, as well as term life insurance coverage with 100% of premiums paid for by equipifi Almost ready to apply? We know that great candidates don’t always check every box on paper. If this role gets you excited and you feel you’d bring insight, creativity, and passion to what we are building, we strongly encourage you to apply. Our qualifications are meant to set everyone up for success, but let’s face it - startups aren’t in the business of mundane box checking. We’re committed to building a team with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking, because that’s how we tackle big challenges and grow together. If you’re ready to push boundaries and contribute your unique perspective, we’d love to hear from you. equipifi is not currently offering visa sponsorships for any position. equipifi is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
