SafetyWing (YC W18) is seeking a Product Marketer who will streamline our marketing strategies to enhance the success of our insurance products. In this role, you will dive into market research, craft compelling messaging, oversee product launches, and develop tools to boost customer acquisition and retention. Your efforts will ensure our audience understands and values our products, directly contributing to our growth.
We are on a mission to remove the role of geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunities and freedom for everyone. And we are doing that by creating simple health, insurance, and retirement products for remote workers worldwide as a replacement for national welfare systems.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Has a strong background in product marketing, preferably in both B2C and B2B environments
  • Is driven by data to make decisions and improve product positioning
  • Has experience in creating strategies that resonate with target audiences
  • Is creative, you’re familiar with and excited by brand storytelling (bonus if you have copywriting skills)
  • Is a team player who’s eager to collaborate across functions to achieve shared goals
  • Is an innovative thinker, always looking for new ways to engage customers and improve their experience with our products
  • Has a strong ability to communicate complex ideas simply and attractively
Responsibilities
  • Owning the product marketing strategy and execution for our core product lines, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market planning
  • Lead product launches and campaigns, coordinating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams and ensuring alignment with our core principles
  • Talking to our customers to find out why they buy our products, assessing price sensitivity, and understanding market trends
  • Craft clear, engaging messages that resonate with our diverse audience
  • Overseeing successful product launches, serving as intermediary between product, creative and growth
  • Leading efforts to track and refine our growth, making data-driven suggestions for enhancements
  • Ensuring that both our team and customers have a deep understanding and appreciation of our product
  • Work closely with our creative team to ensure brand-consistent messaging across channels
  • Crafting marketing tools like web pages and ads to attract and keep customers, always seeking ways to do it better
  • Collaborating with customer success to proactively tackle customer issues and refine their experience
  • Leveraging your deep understanding of our product principles to make wise decisions, especially in managing projects and product launches
