Description
Orchid Security is the Identity Infrastructure Control Plane - the independent layer that connects what enterprises already own across IAM, PAM, IGA, and SaaS systems. We help security teams see inside applications, govern what actually happens at execution time, and close the gap between identity intent and identity reality. We’re a 70-person seed-stage company moving fast in a $23B market. Our customers include Fortune 500 banks, global retailers, and complex enterprises where identity security is mission-critical. The Role We’re hiring our first dedicated PMM. You’ll own how the security world discovers, understands, and buys Orchid - from messaging and positioning to launches, content, and sales enablement. This role reports directly to the VP Marketing and sits at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing. You work independently, move quickly, and write well. You’re not waiting for direction - you’re creating it. Requirements What You’ll Own Craft and maintain Orchid’s core product messaging and positioning - for buyers ranging from CISOs to IAM directors to GRC teams Build and execute GTM strategy for new feature and product launches, end-to-end Produce sales enablement assets: pitch decks, battlecards, one-pagers, solution briefs, objection handling guides Create content that moves buyers - blog posts, white papers, use case narratives, website copy Lead competitive intelligence: track the identity security market and build differentiated positioning against key players Partner with demand gen on campaign messaging, ensuring story consistency across every channel Conduct customer and prospect interviews to deepen buyer understanding and sharpen messaging What We’re Looking For 5–6 years of product marketing experience, ideally in B2B cybersecurity, identity, or technical SaaS Strong writer - you can turn complex technical concepts into crisp, compelling narratives Proven ability to build from scratch: you’ve created messaging frameworks, launch plans, or enablement programs without a playbook handed to you Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, sales, and design in a fast-moving startup Enough technical curiosity to get under the hood - you don’t need to write code, but you need to understand what makes identity security hard Track record of shipping: bias toward execution, not endless refinement Nice to Have Experience in IAM, PAM, IGA, or adjacent identity security markets Background in early-stage startups where you’ve built the PMM function Familiarity with the enterprise security buyer - CISO, IAM leads, GRC teams Why Orchid First PMM hire - you’ll build the function and leave your fingerprints on everything Early stage with enterprise traction: customers like Costco, Fortune 50 banks, global insurance firms A real technical differentiation story - not another security vendor with recycled positioning Competitive comp, meaningful equity, and a team that takes the work seriously Orchid Security is an equal opportunity employer. We’re building a diverse team and strongly encourage candidates from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
Responsibilities
The first dedicated PMM will own the end-to-end discovery and buying process for Orchid, focusing on messaging, positioning, and GTM strategy. Responsibilities include creating sales enablement assets, producing buyer-centric content, and leading competitive intelligence efforts.
