Salary: From £30,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience + fantastic benefits
Jisc grade: PRS2 (internal use only)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office, we have hubs in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford. Specific patterns for working in the office are not mandated, and the frequency of time worked in the office is agreed with your manager. Meeting in person is something we value so you may need to travel on occasion to any of our hub offices.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of working in a communications role or similar.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in one or more of the following languages: Portuguese (preferred), French is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience using marketing tools and channels including websites, email, social and video.
  • Proven experience writing successful communications and content pieces.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As product marketing officer you will deliver tactical product marketing activities in support of our strategic product marketing plans and product roadmaps for all OpenAthens products and services in our target global markets.
The role will contribute to a compelling customer experience; provide sales enablement; add clarity around our customer communications; and increase the frequency with which we talk to customers. The role is user-centred and focused on educating and articulating the value of the product to our target customer groups, therefore good communication and copywriting skills are essential.
Key areas for focus include America and Europe, therefore you will need to be fluent in English, as well as in Portuguese, and/or French. Knowledge of Spanish will be valuable.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Playing a key role in creating engaging communications to support our customers and internal teams. Use your strong communication and copywriting skills to help explain the value of our product.
  • Working with the OpenAthens product marketing function to deliver product marketing activity and campaigns to achieve objectives.
  • Creating and managing the production of effective content aligned to buyer personas, product hierarchy and the buyer’s journey.
  • Creating effective educational content to help customers and stakeholders around the world understand our products and services by using an easy-to-understand language and tone of voice directed at international audiences.
  • Updating digital platforms including the OpenAthens website, email campaign platform and social media accounts with clear, compelling and on brand copy.
  • Supporting the product marketing function to localise and deliver go-to-market plans and tactics.
