He angitūtanga: The opportunityWe are looking for a Product Owner – Security to join our Product Management Practice  in a permanent full time role.In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and management of security products and services that support Auckland Council’s cyber resilience. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure security priorities are well understood, balanced, and delivered to meet organisational outcomes.He kōrero mōu: About youYou will bring a strong background in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or security engineering, along with proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar leadership role. Your ability to manage competing priorities, engage with stakeholders, and translate business needs into clear security outcomes will be key to your success.We are looking for someone who has:-Prior 1-2 years experience as a PO or in a related role-Knowledge of cybersecurity practices such as SIEM, SOAR, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management-Familiarity with security frameworks e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, etc. -Experience working with one or more security tools and platforms (e.g. Splunk, CrowdStrike, Mimecast, or similar)-Strong stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills, particularly when working across different business units-Experience in prioritising and managing a product backlog aligned to business outcomesNgā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offerThis is an excellent opportunity to apply your product ownership skills in a critical area of Council’s digital services.
