Description

HELLO, PRODUCT OWNER

It’s funny to think you’re reading this, even though we haven’t actually met yet. But, given that you’re the person who’s going to help us take our product to the next level, we just wanted to say hi.
Ian, our Product Director, is especially excited to meet you – partly because he’s brilliant and a joy to work with, but mostly because he knows how vital this role is to our product growth and innovation. And with Buyapowa entering our biggest period of global growth ever, now’s the perfect time to jump on board.
So, welcome to Buyapowa. We can’t wait for you to start.

WHO WE ARE

Traditional marketing is dead. That’s why we’re building what comes next – a whole new acquisition channel based on how people actually shop today: through friends, family, and word of mouth.
We power the referral programs for brands like T-Mobile, Vodafone, British Gas, Vitality, Repsol and more – helping them turn loyal customers into powerful advocates.
With over a decade of proven success and our biggest period of growth ahead, we’re looking for bold, clever, hands-on people to help us build what comes next.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Product Owner at Buyapowa, you’ll help us organize, prioritize, and drive the work for our development team.
You’ll be responsible for iterating on existing functionality and defining new features to meet our business goals and help us scale globally. Working closely with designers, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure we build the right things, in the right order, for maximum impact.
This role sits at the heart of product innovation, strategy, and execution. If you’re analytical, collaborative, and love solving problems that matter—read on.

✅ WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Undertake product discovery and research to identify opportunities, validate ideas, and shape product direction.
  • Incorporate feature requests, client/user feedback, and market insights into the roadmap.
  • Balance customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility when making prioritization decisions.
  • Develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria that translate customer needs into actionable development work.
  • Maintain and prioritize the backlog to ensure the team is focused on delivering the most valuable work.
  • Work closely with the development squad, participating in stand-ups, planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Define product KPIs, gather insights, and use data to drive continual improvement.
  • Collaborate with analytics to define tracking and reporting requirements, and use experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) to validate impact.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from idea to launch, and oversee ongoing optimization.
  • Engage stakeholders to capture requirements, manage expectations, and clearly communicate progress.
  • Identify, capture, and prioritize live issues, balancing stability with forward product momentum.
