Job Title: Product Owner Data Platforms & BI
Area: IT Data Management
Reports to: Director, Data Management
Classification: Exempt
Location: Evanston, IL
This position is designated as Hybrid - Fully Flexible and expected to work from our World Headquarters office once per month to several times a week. The specific days in the office are determined by managers based on business requirements. Rotary is under the jurisdiction of Illinois employment laws; we require all employees to live within reasonable daily commuting distance to Evanston.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Product Owner works closely with various business stakeholders, external product owners and product managers and/or Key Stakeholder to manage the product backlog, understand priorities, and should be able to provide all necessary details for the development team to achieve their sprint goals effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritizing backlog
  • Responsible for sprint planning and sprint review discussions with dev team.
  • Processing and analyzing product feedback from stakeholders
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing with various stakeholders
  • Analyzing functional and non-functional product requirements, dependencies, and constraints and decompose them into tasks for the development team;
  • Supporting the development team
  • Ensuring ongoing collaboration with other product development teams to align work and proactively manage cross-team dependencies
  • Act as mediator between the Business stakeholders, leadership teams and the development teams
