Responsibilities

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:
In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end ERP lifecycle, collaborating closely with finance, procurement, and operational teams to deliver seamless and efficient solutions. You’ll work on exciting challenges, like reducing the month-end close time, automating finance workflows, and driving integration with key systems like Salesforce and PMS. You’ll be empowered to make strategic decisions, influence product direction, and build a structured approach to product ownership from the ground up.
What makes this role truly exciting is the autonomy you’ll have, combined with the chance to shape the future of financial systems within a dynamic, collaborative team. You’ll be given the tools and support to thrive, including a defined scope, ring-fenced time for strategic thinking, and ongoing collaboration with senior leaders. Plus, the opportunity for growth is significant – as the team matures, you’ll have more resources and clearer structures.

✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Lead end-to-end ownership of our Business Central ERP, from the integration of external tooling through to the general ledger, ensuring reliability, and compliance with financial best practices.
  • Drive process automation initiatives within the ERP system to reduce manual workload, increase accuracy, and improve efficiency, aligning with our business objectives for growth and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholder teams e.g. finance, procurement, and operations to gather requirements, define functional specifications, and set development priorities that align with both immediate needs and long-term goals.
  • Develop and manage a structured product backlog for ERP enhancements, focusing on process improvement, system stability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Maintain a pulse on ERP trends, emerging best practices, and changes in regulatory requirements that impact ERP processes, particularly in finance and operations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the success of ERP initiatives, using data to inform future development and support continuous improvement across finance and operational workflows.

️ You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • Proven experience in product management or product ownership with a strong emphasis on ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Demonstrated expertise in finance processes, with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational finance workflows.
  • Strong skills in systems thinking and process automation, with experience driving initiatives that reduce manual tasks and improve system integration.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
