We are currently looking for a Product Owner for embedded finance ready to join our adventure, share our ambition and help shape the future of digital banking.

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • extensive know how of a product, value proposition discovery and testing techniques as well as deeper technical background of a digital native product
  • deep knowledge of technology required to develop and run a digital native product, a coding experience is a plus
  • experience acting as a product manager or product owner in a bank or a fintech, 5+ years, responsibility for a product revenue stream of at least 40mln PLN is a plus
  • strong business acumen and drive to scale a product being an integrating counterpart for sales, marketing and CRM teams, having a proven track record in scaling a product and having a commercial success thru managed product is a great plus
  • hard skills in product design and delivery methodology, the best with having the responsibility for a product agile delivery team or teams
  • experience acting as a scrum lead, leading agile delivery team rituals know-how of a product legal and regulatory framework and contractual documentation setup
  • experience in product maintenance processes setup, PROD incidents troubleshooting, being acting as the 2nd line of defense in a bank or a fintech
  • fluency in Polish and English

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

Target: Development and ownership of embedded consumer lending product suite and services: namely embedded cash loan for private individuals, retail sales finance, buy now pay later, embedded revolving credits, embedded loan origination flow using bank’s own web front end or as white-labelled using standardized set of APIs. Discovery of new features and competitive product propositions bringing an excellent solution to markets corresponding to advanced consumers needs.
Major KPIs: product development backlog on time delivery (delivery team velocity), a product commercial success: new customers / new volume loans, loans outstanding on book, loan prepayments, net asset margin).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • define strategy for a product vertical development preparing a backlog for dedicated delivery team, discover product enhancements and innovation to correspond to consumers changing needs and outcompete with a product excellence and a unique selling proposition (USP)
  • drive product commercial success being responsible for its scaling / sales as well as margin / revenue, have ownership for a product P/L incl. responsibility for pricing / pricing strategies and margin management
  • propose product yearly budget, prepare quarterly forecasts, run simulations and modeling assuming a financial impact of a product change, a new promotion or re-pricing
  • define and test different product promotions in cooperation with marketing and CRM teams, in charge of a promotion legal framework be set
  • act as the line manager for a product delivery team with hire and fire empowerment, act as the team scrum lead for agile delivery rituals - release and sprints planning, scope grooming, team velocity monitoring and management
  • runs constant product discovery incl. continuous benchmarking in a global range, market research and market testing, active customers feedback collection and regulatory framework changes monitoring to identify new features and enhancements be developed, form delivery team backlog with the right to prioritise
  • design product, prepare epics, user stories, user stories artefacts, and user story acceptance criteria, specify test cases, make sure product design documentation in Jira is corresponding to the high standard, is complete and structured
  • be in charge of product compliance and legal risks being assessed and addressed (run product design reviews with compliance and legal team as part of a product origination and maintenance design
  • draft and deploy product legal artefacts and make sure on their completeness and quality: e.g. contract template, terms and conditions and updates, promotional terms and conditions, product fact sheet, price list, various required consents, representative example, etc.
  • define product operational processes, i.e. processes of product maintenance that is not automated as a self-service in an App, design operational processes in coop with OPS team, write working manuals as per standard
  • run user acceptance testing once product or its part its deployed to UAT, run test cases, document test results and decide about product readiness to deploy to PROD, re-test in PROD environment, responsible for declaring the product be ready for production open access - i.e. a commercial launch
  • procures suppliers providing services required for a product origination and maintenance, in cooperation with procurement team facilitates a supplier GDPR and IT security assessment and contracting, owning the contract and related supplier relationship
  • prior to the product commercial launch prepares and submits requests for product approval (made in cooperation with risk, legal, compliance and ops teams), set the product price by the request to the respective committes
  • cooperate with marketing and CRM team to set product marketing communication and CRM campaigns nurturing leads to pass thru a product digital origination funnel and also campaigns for product up-sell and x-sell
  • collect customer / user feedback via e.g. in-App surveys, NPS measurement, customer care center and app stores to address issues related to product origination and use, act as the 2nd line of defense in case of complaints or prod incidents handling
  • report to management on reg. basis on a product commercial performance vs forecast / budget and on the delivery team scope to be set for the next release and delivery team velocity, set business reporting for a product to enable actuals monitoring and forecasting
