JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Client seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Multifamily data and proven expertise in leading and running Agile PODs.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving product vision, managing the backlog, and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, data teams, and engineering to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions within the multifamily real estate domain.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in the financial services domain.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily data sources, data standards, and industry metrics.
  • Hands-on experience running Agile PODs with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, data, business stakeholders).
  • Excellent ability to create and refine user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable business insights.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Product Owner for multifamily data initiatives, managing priorities, scope, and deliverables across the agile POD.
  • Define and maintain the product backlog, translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, data engineers, and developers to ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews to drive continuous delivery within the Agile framework.
  • Ensure high data quality, governance, and compliance with industry standards for multifamily housing datasets.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze KPIs, and provide insights to improve data-driven decision-making.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the product delivers maximum value to end-users and aligns with business goals.
  • Facilitate communication and remove roadblocks for the agile POD to ensure smooth execution.
