Description

Our mission is to create the Experience of a Lifetime for our employees, so they can, in turn, create the Experience of a Lifetime for our guests. We own and operate the most renowned destination resorts in the world as well as regional and local ski areas outside major cities, and connect them all through one unrivaled network. We are looking for ambitious leaders, innovators and creators to join our talented team. If you’re ready to pursue your fullest potential, we want to get to know you!
Candidates for year-round positions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted up to 90 days after the posting date, or until the position is filled (whichever is first).

JOB SUMMARY:

Vail Resorts is seeking a mid-level Product Owner to support the My Epic App, a key part of our digital guest experience. You will partner with product leaders, designers, and engineers to build mobile features that simplify how guests plan, navigate, and enjoy their time at our resorts. We’re looking for someone with strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills— and above all, the drive and initiative to take ownership, anticipate needs, and move work forward proactively without needing close direction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2–5 years of experience in product ownership or product management, preferably with mobile products
  • Experience collaborating within agile product teams (design, dev, QA, analytics)
  • Familiarity with native app development or mobile platforms (iOS/Android)
  • Ability to translate business goals into user stories and testable requirements
  • Understanding of UX best practices and how to work with design tools like Figma
  • Basic technical literacy (e.g., familiarity with APIs, SDKs, CMS platforms)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and prioritize a well-groomed product backlog aligned to feature roadmaps and business needs
  • Write clear and actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, conduct rapid discovery with limited data, and develop clear, actionable product briefs for both large initiatives and feature-level work.
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering to build features that are intuitive and performant
  • Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Partner with UX/UI designers to deliver features that meet guest and business needs
  • Coordinate feature testing and validation, working with QA and engineering
  • Track feature performance post-launch using analytics dashboards and feedback
  • Share product updates and key decisions with stakeholders across teams
  • Stay aware of app store trends, UX best practices, and guest behavior patterns
  • Create clear, insight-driven product briefs that align teams and inform design, development, and prioritization decisions.

Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

  • Health Insurance; Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance plans (for eligible seasonal employees after working 500 hours)
  • Free ski passes for dependents
  • Critical Illness and Accident plan
