NEP Australia is currently looking for a Product Owner Orchestration to own the vision, backlog, and delivery of the APIs and low-level orchestration components that underpin our broadcast-grade control platform. You’ll collaborate closely with Lead Developers, the Architecture team, and key stakeholders to translate technical requirements into prioritized user stories, drive feature releases.
This role is based at our state-of-the-art Andrew’s HUB in Southbank, Melbourne and may require occasional weekend work depending on client requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • 3+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a software environment, ideally with API-first and front-end components.
  • Familiarity with broadcast/IP-based media workflows (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS) and SDN concepts a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfortable reading and writing OpenAPI/Swagger definitions and basic front-end mockups.
  • Understanding of broadcast-grade orchestration requirements—device discovery, flow configuration, and real-time monitoring is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record running Scrum or Kanban teams—skilled at backlog grooming, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.Excellent written and verbal communication—able to translate complex technical concepts into clear requirements and presentations.

  • Responsible for creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Product Management and the development team.
  • Provide technical direction and ensure the team understands the technical implementations of their work.
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure successful sprint planning and execution.
  • Define and manage product release plans according to the TFC GA process
