POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Owner to lead and support the development of high-impact, user-focused digital products. The ideal candidate is strategic, collaborative, and analytical with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will play a pivotal role in translating business objectives into actionable product roadmaps and driving cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of IT experience, business acumen, project leadership, and product strategy to help guide organization-wide improvements and system optimizations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience managing large-scale projects or programs.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a product owner role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile Certification: Scrum Master (CSM, ACSM, or CSP-SM).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with system engineering life cycles, architectural frameworks, and solution delivery processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with federal government agencies (e.g., FDA, NIH, HHS).
  • Product Owner certifications such as CSPO, ACSPO, or CSP-PO.
  • Experience with CMMI level certifications and quality standards.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and other Agile project management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Power Platform, M365/Teams, AVD.
  • Experience working with JAMF, Okta, and other enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Lead product release planning and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure shared understanding of product goals.
  • Manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder input, and user feedback.
  • Define detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Make strategic decisions on product scope, prioritization, and trade-offs.
  • Balance immediate needs with long-term goals in product planning.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and conduct market and competitive analysis.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and communicate updates effectively across teams.
