Our client, a leading global organisation in the aviation leasing sector, is seeking a Product Owner to join their IT Transformation Programme. This role will be pivotal in driving business requirements, process optimisation, and delivering high-value digital solutions as part of a large-scale transformation. The successful candidate will work within an Agile delivery team, collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of cutting-edge technology solutions.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst, working on large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Experience working within an Agile delivery framework (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc.).
  • Strong track record of defining and managing product roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders, ideally within the financial services or leasing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge existing processes and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong experience in process modelling (e.g., BPMN) and business analysis techniques.

TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), API integrations, and data modelling.
  • Experience with UX design principles and how they impact product development.
  • Knowledge of authentication and security frameworks (e.g., OAuth2, Keycloak) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and collaboration platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring alignment of digital solutions with business objectives.
  • Lead discovery sessions/workshops to define and document business processes, user requirements, and system enhancements.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritising features based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Work proactively in breaking down complex problems into actionable deliverables for development teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the existing system landscape and contribute to future-state planning.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and testers to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
  • Support agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Provide clear communication to senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, on project progress and business impact.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and potential blockers, escalating where necessary to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to change management, supporting business users in the adoption of new systems and processes.
