With almost a million members in our care, we are New Zealand's leading health insurer. We have an unstoppable focus, delivering outstanding experiences to our members in their time of need. This is an exciting time to be part of our journey and in return for your extraordinary talent, we'll provide a high performing values-based team environment where people are at our heart. About the role We’re looking for a Product Owner who is passionate about solving meaningful customer problems through technology-enabled services and experiences. In this role you’ll oversee products through their entire lifecycle — from discovery and strategy to delivery and improvement — ensuring each stage builds clarity, focus, and alignment. You’ll shape product strategy, define outcomes, and guide empowered squads to deliver solutions that balance customer needs, business goals, and technology possibilities. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our member experiences and service solutions support the purpose of Member Services — home to our Claims and Customer Services Centres of Excellence. By shaping strategy and guiding delivery, you’ll help us build trust and lasting relationships with our members, enabling them to use their health insurance with confidence, supported by timely, accurate, and personal experiences. What you’ll do Manage products across the full product lifecycle, ensuring clarity, focus, and alignment to support iterative delivery of value to members and the business. Shape and champion the technology-enabled product vision and strategy, aligning it to the Member Services purpose: building trust and lasting relationships with our members. Define and prioritise digital and service outcomes that enable members to use their health insurance with confidence. Work closely with your squad and stakeholders to discover customer needs, test ideas, and deliver technology-enabled solutions that make a measurable difference. Translate strategy into clear roadmaps and priorities, leveraging technology and service design to solve the most important problems for our members. Use data, research, and customer insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve member experiences. Collaborate across business and technology to deliver timely, accurate, and personal experiences that strengthen trust and relationships. About you We’re looking for someone who can connect customer insight, business ambition, and technology opportunities to shape a clear product direction. You’ll bring: Experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, ideally in a technology-enabled, digital, or service-based environment. Proven ability to manage products across the full lifecycle. Track record of defining product outcomes and strategy. Strong ability to understand customer and business needs and translate these into actionable roadmaps. Confidence in using data, research, and customer feedback to guide decisions.
