Assignment description The Cloud & Infrastructure Technical Product Owner will lead the technical strategy, design, and implementation of the company's cloud infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in advancing the company’s cloud-first strategy, with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The role must bring expertise cultivated from a developer and engineering perspective. Given the size of the team, the Product Owner will contribute as a developer in the team. As an influential technical leader, the Product Owner will ensure the delivery of secure, efficient, and scalable cloud-and on-prem hosting services, collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers to drive good automation practices. Key Responsibilities: Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Ownership: Take ownership of the technical roadmap for the company’s infrastructure, delivering on the cloud-first vision while prioritizing automation and IaC principles. Implement streamlined, high-performing resource provisioning processes and maintain high levels of reliability and security. Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across Data & Analytics, Network Services, digital product teams to integrate cloud infrastructure solutions into the application landscape. Facilitate workflows and automation pipelines using source control and CI/CD tools like GitHub Enterprise. This role is expected to have a strong technical collaboration across the company including the technical lead community. Mentorship & Enablement: Provide informal mentorship to engineers, empowering them with good practices in cloud automation, IaC, and DevOps. Serve as a technical thought leader, driving innovation and advocating for continuous improvement in cloud practices. Cost and Vendor Optimization: Evaluate vendors and technologies to ensure alignment with performance needs and cost management goals. Skill requirements: Cloud Platforms: Azure architecture and services (Functions, VMs, networking, storage, AKS, automation) Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, Ansible principles and usage. DevOps & CI/CD: Concepts, pipelines, and integration (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Monitoring & Observability: Zabbix, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus. Product Ownership Practices: Backlog management, prioritization, stakeholder engagement, roadmap definition. Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering, with significant experience implementing IaC solutions within Azure environments. Proven ability to align cloud strategy with business objectives. Delivered large-scale platform automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code. Designed and implemented observability frameworks for multi-environment platforms. Worked closely with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, business, and security. Skills: Strategic thinking with a technical depth in cloud & infrastructure. Strong leadership and influencing abilities without direct authority. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Hands-on capability with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern DevOps tools. Skilled in translating business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions. Forward-thinking, curious and tech savvy with proven ability to build great relationships and get results from working with others.
