Company Description Founded in 1976, EKI manufactures, packages and distributes diagnostic reagents and chemicals used in a wide variety of laboratories and industry. As our company continues to expand operations, we're looking for individuals to grow with us. Job Description Summary Performs an array of functions including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from inventory, packaging and labeling product, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing and moving stock in the warehouse. Essential duties and responsibilities Receive inbound shipments, unloading trucks and checking materials into inventory. Prepare shipments by processing customer orders, picking product from stock, placing completed orders in outbound shipping area. Prepare small packages/boxes for parcel shipping. Palletize various products for shipment of larger orders. Operate pallet jack and stand-up forklift to move materials within the warehouse. Verify outbound shipments and load onto trucks Package finished product from bulk using manual methods or semi-automatic filling equipment. Ensure proper labeling, container closure, etc. utilized during packaging tasks. Process inventory transactions using a barcode scanner and desktop computer. Organize warehouse and work area for cleanliness and safety at all times. Qualifications Qualification requirements High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 yrs previous warehouse or product packaging experience preferred. Forklift training and experience preferred. Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Shipping training or experience helpful. Good communication, organizational, time management & mathematical skills. Must be dependable, reliable and punctual. Must have reliable mode of transportation. Due to the nature of our products, annual Influenza vaccinations are required and provided free of charge. Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. Physical demands and abilities Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs. Able to work standing for an 8 hour shift Additional Information Compensation Full time position, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Competitive pay, negotiable and based on experience.
