Description
Reporting into the Component Planning Supervisor, the Component Planning Analyst will join our Parts Exchange Department on a Full Time – Permanent basis at our Parts & Distribution Centre in Guildford. This role manages critical component planning, inventory and supplier coordination to keep WesTrac’s parts moving and customers supported. Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)   What You’ll Do: Review, forecast and process demand for critical components and parts, ensuring availability to support operational requirements. Manage Parts Exchange (PEX) inventory, including stock condition checks, rotation, and minimising aged or poor‑health stock. Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to source components, manage work orders, and ensure accurate and timely supply. Own assigned products end‑to‑end by validating part numbers, inspecting components (office and yard based), maintaining ISO 9001 compliant records, and representing the customer’s interests.   Skills & Experience: Mechanical aptitude with a sound understanding of mobile plant and related components (no formal engineering qualification required). Experience in inventory control, parts coordination, work order management, or supply chain–related roles. Strong PC skills with the ability to work across multiple internal systems and tools. Data‑driven mindset with strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain accurate inventory and compliance records. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and engage with external suppliers.
