Join our Team as a Product Planning Manager! The Role: The Class ll Product Planning Manager will develop strategies and programs for a specific class of products and/or services to support Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA). The selected candidate will plan, organize, implement, and manage the activities and resources for projects and programs in support of life-cycle management of assigned class of products and/or solutions. What You’ll Be Doing: * Represent TMHNA as the product and/or solutions subject-matter expert and provides technical expertise and training support for product development. * Achieves strategic Share of Market for assigned product lines that corresponds with TMHNA’s annual Plan of Record. Supports the budgeting and forecasting process for marketing, coordinating with Finance and Operations as required. * Gathers and maintains up-to-date competitive and market intelligence. Continually assesses market conditions, competitive pricing, offerings, plans, applications, customer trends/issues, and distribution/product trends. * Works closely with cross functional groups (including Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Program Management, etc.) for product roadmap and life cycle management. * Owns the strategic product planning, product roadmap, and Marketing Requirements Definition (MRD) processes. Acts as an interface with engineering to develop the next generation of solutions, product enhancements and services. Ensures appropriate market coverage and brand positioning. * Ensures new solutions/services fulfill marketplace requirements for their successful introduction into the market as well as their long-term success and sustainability. * Creates sustainable competitive advantage for product lines. Provides effective ROI and total cost of ownership tools to TMHNA’s Solutions and Support Centers and sales representatives that allow them to substantiate the value proposition of TMHNA’s products and services offering. * Provides technical expertise and training to the sales force for products and applications. Support new sales tools, dealer communications, marketing tool kits, and management of brochures, website, & app. * Coordinates ongoing maintenance / health of products including customer satisfaction, warranty, lead times, product margin and customization through Product Teams. * Provide excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication to influence and negotiate with others in order to resolve difficult problems that can affect long-term relationships with customers. What We’re Looking For: * A Bachelor's Degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related discipline is preferred. * 4+ years of broad experience in marketing, finance, business, engineering, and/or an analytical role is required. What Sets You Apart: * Experience in the forklift industry, IoT, Automation, or telematics is preferred. * A sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer requirements and quality expectations. * Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including senior and executive level staff is also a key to success. What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like: Salary - $83,000 - $118,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
