MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field required.
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality engineering.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering field preferred.
  • 8+ years of Quality engineering experience in consumer electronics preferred.
  • FAANG or big tech background preferred
    Location: Sunnyvale, CA [Onsite]
    Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $104,000 – $133,120 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • A Product Quality Engineer (PQE) will ensure that the quality of company’s hardware products consistently exceed our requirements and customer expectations.
  • In this role, you will develop and implement quality control systems into our hardware manufacturing supply chain.
  • You will use these systems to provide insights and feedback to the hardware design and manufacturing process engineering teams (and others) that enable a design that can support mass production with high cosmetic, functional, dimensional quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
  • Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
  • Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
  • Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
  • Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer.
  • Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.
  • Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
