Product Quality Engineer

Overview:
To work within quality engineering across the organisation, with a focus on improving the quality of products received and shipped to ensure continual improvement of processes, thus helping reduce defects, problems, etc.
To drive product improvements within the organisation and the supply chain by highlighting gaps, implementing improved processes and continual management of the product related QMS (including corrective and preventive actions).

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, experience in ISO 13485 and 21 CFR part 820 desired
• Demonstrated practical approach towards problem solving.
• Good understanding of supplier quality.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.

• Represents Quality Engineering through product lifecycle management to help ensure product manufacturability, reliability and cost effectiveness.
• Support activities related to the QMS including CAPA, NCRs, MRB, deviations etc
• Performs external (supplier) audits.
• Attends regular communication with cross-functional teams to identify root cause of problems and create plans for short term and long-term remediation
• Represents supplier quality for new product development activities, supports supplier performance assessment process and prioritises actions to address adverse trends.
• Identify new, or changes to existing, processes and systems to improve effectivity and efficiency of the Quality system in accordance with the requirements of: ISO 9001; ISO 13485; 21 CFR part 820
