Location: Based at E3, South Elmsall Rate of pay: £13.10 Shift Pattern: Week 1: Sunday - Tuesday 06:00-18:00 Week 2: Sunday - Wednesday 06:00-18:00 About the role: Situated in the receiving warehouse you will represent the interests of the processes within the warehouse and the product care of items You will: Quality check stock thoroughly and ensure if it is fit for purpose and have been recorded correctly, if not you will be required to report errors Process damaged, used and faulty products with the focus on recovery aspect Ensure fraudulent items have been logged on the system and raising this to the fraud team so they can investigate further Ensure that due care and attention is given to the detailed task of inspection and repacking of product Responsible for communicating any poor product care handling, packaging and unsolved problems to the site Conduct audits identifying areas where improvements can be made processes/product care Maintain the departmental paperwork on a day to day basis, in respect of accuracy of information, reporting and filing About you: Be able to make objective decisions based on the information/facts given Have a high level of attention to detail in all functions of the role Able to work as part of a team or own initiative Communicate at all levels gaining respect and credibility Excellent understanding of Google Suite Flexible towards working hours and willing to work additional hours Punctual and reliable Do you want to be responsible for ensuring our customers receive pristine products? This element of the role means that you will: Ensure that due care and attention is given to the detailed task of inspection whilst also servicing the needs of a production based warehouse Responsible for recovering stock to fulfil customer orders by the use of specialist equipment and cleaning fluids Responsible for ensuring goods are fit for sale Understanding of commerciality, customer needs and expectations What is a Quality Control Inspector? This element of the role means that you will: Represent the interest of the Product team based at Head Office, taking responsibility for deciding that goods delivered are acceptable and within tolerance for stock in all aspects of quality, appearance, packaging, labelling and that it compares to the approved samples and documentation You will communicate any unsolved problems to the PQC Manager for them to advise on action to be taken Have knowledge of all Next product groups and have the ability to communicate with authority on these to, and on behalf of all product departments and other internal departments You know Next, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 35,000 people across the UK and Ireland.
