REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of experience designing and testing computer firmware and software at component and system levels
  • Experience with driver development, testing, and debugging
  • Ability to write test documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to plan work and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Comprehension of technical concepts across multiple disciplines
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic, motivated, and self-driven

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Coding skills – Python, C#, C++
  • Experience with audio codecs and audio drivers
  • Experience with Windows audio architecture
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Kernel debugging
  • Device drivers
Responsibilities

Our client is seeking qualified candidates for Audio Software Engineering. Responsibilities include:

  • Verification and qualification of Surface software, firmware, and related hardware
  • Running test cases, reporting results, opening bugs, and reporting status weekly
  • Developing comprehensive software and firmware verification strategies and plans
  • Bridging high-level use cases to product architecture/design
  • Creating Scenario Focused solutions to reveal or screen out code and system defects
  • Providing critical analysis of test data to drive solutions, design changes, and trade-offs
  • Leading test strategy discussions, methodologies, plans, and execution procedures
  • Writing and reviewing test automation
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Learn new technologies and make progress quickly
  • Identify and fill gaps
  • Collaborate with development, program management, hardware and software/firmware engineers, and partner teams
