Product Specialist: Assessment Platform Focus School Software is a leading K-12 software company dedicated to helping schools and districts improve student outcomes through innovative technology. As we continue to expand our Assessment platform, we are seeking an energetic, creative, and tech-savvy Product Specialist to help shape the future of educational assessment. In this role, you will work closely with Business Development, Product, Development, and Support teams to champion and evolve our Assessment platform. As the primary product expert, you will help drive innovation, support customers, and ensure that educator and district needs remain at the center of product development. Your Impact As the subject matter expert for our Assessment platform, you will serve as the bridge between customer needs and product innovation. Your work will directly influence how schools and districts measure student achievement, monitor growth, and make data-informed decisions. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on all Assessment platform features, functionality, and capabilities. • Partner with Business Development and Product teams to gather customer feedback, identify market opportunities, and translate needs into actionable product enhancements. • Assist with product planning, feature rollouts, and go-to-market strategies to ensure successful launches and adoption. • Provide high-level product support and detailed technical guidance to internal teams, implementation specialists, and customers. • Analyze customer usage trends, industry developments, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. • Create and maintain product documentation, training materials, presentations, and marketing resources. • Participate in product testing and quality assurance efforts for new features and enhancements. • Deliver product demonstrations, webinars, training sessions, and conference presentations. • Represent Focus School Software at conferences, user groups, and customer-facing events. What You Bring to the Team • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years of experience in a similar technology-focused role. • Experience in K-12 education is strongly preferred. Experience with student assessment, accountability, curriculum, instructional technology, standards-based grading, or educational data systems is highly desirable. • Previous experience with Focus School Software is a significant plus. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong presentation and public speaking skills. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to consistently meet deadlines. • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn independently and take ownership of projects. • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, build relationships, and positively influence outcomes.
