Description
Overview: Oversee the Clean-up and Migration of Master Data from SK to GC Systems: Review and assess current master data in current CMS for accuracy and consistency. Plan and execute the migration strategy to move data from SK to GC with minimal disruption. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the integrity of data during the migration process. Monitor and address any issues arising during the migration process, ensuring timely resolution. Understand and Implement Master Data Setups in New CMS According to Business Requirements: Gather and analyze business requirements for master data configurations in GC. Design and implement data structures, hierarchies, and relationships within new CMS based on requirements. Ensure that master data setups align with organizational standards and support business goals. Collaborate with internal teams to align data setup with workflows and processes. Drive Small-Scale Business Enhancements and Address Specific Requirements: Identify areas for improvement in current business processes and data management. Collaborate with business users to understand enhancement requests and define clear specifications. Implement enhancements to improve the functionality and usability of master data in new CMS. Monitor the success of business enhancements and recommend further improvements if necessary. Act as a Middle Escalation Point Between Support Team and New CMS Team for Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations related to master data issues. Coordinate with support teams to investigate and resolve data-related issues. Act as a liaison between the vendor tech team, internal support team and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective problem-solving. Communicate updates on issue resolution to relevant parties, ensuring alignment on next steps. Pre-Cutover Preparation: Data Mapping and Analysis: Review and map data structures from the old system to new system to ensure customer profiles, transaction history, and other relevant data fields are accurately transferred. Data Quality Assessment: Perform data cleansing to ensure only accurate, relevant, and up-to-date customer data is migrated. This may involve removing duplicates, resolving inconsistencies, and addressing missing data points. Backups and Validation: Ensure that proper data backups are in place before migration begins. Validate the data against source and target systems to identify any potential issues in advance. Cutover Execution: Data Extraction: Extract all necessary customer profile data from the legacy system, ensuring all relevant customer information (e.g., personal details, preferences, transaction history) is included. Data Transformation: Convert and format the data into the structure required by the new system (GC in this case), ensuring compatibility with the new platform's fields and architecture. Data Load into New System: Transfer the extracted and transformed data into the new system, ensuring that all customer profiles are mapped correctly and that the data is loaded in its entirety. Minimize Downtime: Coordinate the cutover with business teams to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations, ensuring that the migration happens during a low-impact time. Post-Cutover Validation: Data Verification: Perform a comprehensive post-migration validation to ensure all customer profiles have been successfully transferred and are functional in the new system. This includes checking for any missing or corrupt data. Testing and User Acceptance: In collaboration with business users, conduct acceptance testing to ensure the system behaves as expected with the migrated data. Address any discrepancies that may arise. Monitoring System Performance: After migration, continuously monitor the system’s performance to ensure that the migrated customer data is being processed efficiently and accurately. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Escalate and Resolve Issues: Act as the escalation point if any issues arise during the migration process, such as data mismatches, missing profiles, or system downtimes. Work closely with technical teams to resolve any challenges promptly. Data Integrity and Security: Ensure that customer data security and privacy are maintained throughout the migration process, complying with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) for sensitive customer information. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field Experience 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in product development environments Strong experience documenting end-to-end business processes Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams Core Skills Business process modeling (flowcharts, swimlane diagrams) Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills Ability to convert complex processes into clear, structured documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication.
