POSITION OVERVIEW:

LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Product Specialistin Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for creating interactive web products and services that are helpful, easy to understand and a pleasure to use for our 24 million plus yearly visitors. A primary responsibility will be to research and build new products to enhance our existing product catalogue. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities in office or hybrid.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary education in Writing, Communications, Law, Business, Library Science, or other relevant fields
  • Ability to learn, work with, and troubleshoot various types of technology
  • Excellent research, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and suggest new ideas
  • Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and prioritize high-impact business objectives
  • Software development knowledge would be an asset
  • Project management and/or Product owner experience would be an asset
  • Understanding of conversion optimization, consumer psychology, and online marketing
Responsibilities
  • Use our CMS to develop new, interactive product questionnaires that customers fill out to create customized legal documents
  • Conduct product research and user testing to gather insights and make informed decisions
  • Ideate and assess the viability of new components and products
  • Plan and prioritize new products and feature requests for development
  • Write and edit text to make the creation of legal documents simple and easy for our users
  • Collaborate with our Legal, Research, Design, Development and QA departments to create powerful, interactive web products
  • Implement best practices and explore the creation of new best practices for web products
