MCB Securities Services provides services to local and foreign individuals, banks, pension funds, asset managers, and other institutional clients investing in a wide range of financial instruments locally and internationally. We are on the lookout for: Job vacancy: Product Specialist As a Product Specialist, your role will be to manage and lead all activities related to Securities Services products. You will also provide expert knowledge to the sales team to help them understand and effectively promote the features and benefits of these products. In this role you will, Collect, analyse and prioritise requests for new product functionality from clients and prospects and liaise and collaborate with related SBUs to ensure that customer requirements are taken into consideration; Accompany Relationship Managers in client meetings to provide consultative services and advice to existing or prospective clients concerning Securities Services; Support sales process through implementation of the marketing and sales plans including presentations and demos; Ensure quality of the sales pipeline, produce and present sales KPIs; Coordinate all aspects of the client onboarding working with Client, Sales, Legal, Compliance, SS Operations and Client Services teams to ensure all are aware and all necessary connections have been established to ensure smooth onboarding of client at Bank and SS level; Assist in the product design, development and release process working in close collaboration with Business Analysts and IT and be part of the team that tests new features and functionalities; Participate in improvement initiatives and provide support to Operations areas in establishing or modifying processes; Ensure that new ideas are captured, fostered and where appropriate developed into new offerings (products /services) to meet changing market and business needs; Provide input in the development of feasibility studies and financial models, the analysis of financial/quantitative analysis to support business case for new projects/ initiatives; Provide preliminary analysis of all aspects of the product families from processes, capacity utilisation to pricing and make appropriate recommendations that will have a positive financial impact for the Group; Research potential & existing markets with a view to underpinning business expansion, identify new products & improvements to existing products. To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies: Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems; Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments; Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals; Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Addresses difficult interpersonal situations within the team in an open, sensitive, and fair manner. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of Either A completed BSc or equivalent qualification in any Financial related fields; A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Securities Services, Asset Management, Investment advisory or related industry; Solid understanding of financial markets and investment products including traditional asset classes and alternative products; Possess a strong acumen with passion for sales and business development; OR Completed a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Securities Services, Asset Management, Investment advisory or related industry; with a good knowledge of buy-side and/or sell-side investment activities and a good understanding of operations; Possess a strong business acumen with passion for sales and business development. AND Strong presentation and client-facing skills, able to interact at different levels of a client organization; Strategic, creative, and problem-solving skills, as well as solid written, verbal and persuasive communication skills; Effective project management, time management and task organizational skills Teamwork – Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and – written and spoken openness to others’ view; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
