CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows: Inspect and stack product according to product code or load number. Virtually inspect pallets; using only those in good condition and stacking unusable ones off the side. Use cardboard sheets to cover each pallet; palletize according to product specification. Wrap, using cardboard corners on necessary loads and transport each stock pallet load to appropriate areas. Area housekeeping. Follow safe lifting/bending techniques. Follow proper job rotation as assigned by Crew Leader and/or Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment and will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is loud in the production area and hearing protection is always required. Must be able to lift up to 70lbs frequently. Must be able to use pallet jack to move things. Vision requirement should be at least 20/40 for near and far vision.
