JOB SUMMARY

The Product Support Engineer IV is a senior member of the PTS Engineering Services team, responsible for a wide range of technical functions supporting in-service operations of Panasonic Avionics’ IFEC systems. This role leads and supports engineering services, process improvement, and cross-functional initiatives that may include technical publications, rack systems, specialized tooling, repair support, and other operational projects. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong project management skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset to drive operational efficiency, service quality, and long-term business growth.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Deep technical knowledge of In-Flight Entertainment systems and/or avionics, including the ability to apply engineering principles to support, troubleshoot, and improve system performance.
  • Strong engineering judgment, with the ability to develop and refine procedures that guide effective decision-making and task execution.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills across hardware, software, and integrated systems.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage competing priorities, coordinate resources, maintain effective stakeholder communication, and drive timely execution of engineering and support deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex technical information across internal teams, external partners, and customer stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite; familiarity with project management and documentation tools is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of global civil aviation regulations and requirements relevant to IFEC systems, maintenance, and repair.
  • A high degree of initiative, ownership, and accountability in delivering engineering outcomes.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to support the development of less experienced engineers.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation maintenance, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, avionics, or technical field support, with a strong background in IFEC systems.
  • Proven experience leading multiple concurrent cross-functional engineering projects, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage complexity, and drive results.
  • A&P or other regulatory certifications are a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Up to 20% travel may be required to support on-site engineering activities, customer engagements or field operations.
  • Working hour flexibility to support a global 24/7 organization.
