POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Support Engineer provides engineering and technical support for consumable tooling used in the mining and construction industries. This role involves product design, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting to assist with customer support, product development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Mining preferred but not required).
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America as required.
  • Capability and willingness to work in underground environments.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Experience with parametric CAD software; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
  • Experience in mining, quarrying, or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct field testing of new and existing products to support sales and ensure performance and reliability.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance to address and resolve product-related issues, interfacing directly with end users.
  • Design, develop, and revise tooling products to support product lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate product testing programs, including test methods, data collection, and analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and the sales team.
  • Educate and support the sales force and customers on product application, proper usage, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer engineering support to the manufacturing plant for production-related improvements.
  • Assist with CNC programming, production setups, tooling, and gauging processes.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Product Manager to align on product and process quality standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
