Job Title: Product Support Lead – Technical Library & Database Services Work Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Department: Product Support Reports To: Product Support Manager Work Type: Full-time Travel: Up to 10% (domestic) Direct Reports: None Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 per year (based on experience) + eligible for an annual performance bonus Position Summary The Product Support Lead (Technical Library & Database Services) is a highly analytical, detail-driven role responsible for building, maintaining, and refining the systems that support MSHS Pacific Power Group’s technical knowledge infrastructure. This position is well suited for an individual who values structure, predictability, and precision, and who takes pride in methodical, well-organized work. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), this role manages the acquisition, cataloging, classification, and metadata organization of technical documentation within the TEC DOC Database. The Product Support Lead also serves as the primary liaison with our AI Search Engine Provider, supporting the development and enhancement of AI-powered tools that improve access to technical information across the organization. This role operates in a systematized, efficient environment where tasks follow a logical order, procedures are consistent, and attention to detail is critical to success. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Develop, structure, and maintain the MSHS PPG Technical Document SharePoint Database (TEC DOC) using consistent, repeatable processes. Guide and instruct Subject Matter Experts in Technical and Support departments on standardized methods for developing and maintaining TEC DOC libraries. Create and manage structured folder rosters and classification systems for technical documentation. Acquire, catalog, and manage metadata for technical and product information with a high level of accuracy. Provide steady, solution-oriented guidance through documentation challenges. Maintain and update technical knowledge databases to ensure reliability, accessibility, and consistency. Develop and maintain a spare parts document library within the SharePoint Database. Coordinate the development of maintenance and spare parts packages according to OEM specifications, in collaboration with SMEs. Plan and oversee the digitization of hard-copy technical archives, ensuring order, traceability, and data integrity. Act as the liaison with the AI Module Provider, coordinating activities and supporting enhancements to AI Search Engine functionality. Support internal departments including Technical Service Operations, Workshop, Sales Support, Parts, Controls, and Quality by ensuring dependable access to technical information. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical mindset with a methodical, systematic approach to work. 5+ years of demonstrated experience in technical library and information management. Working knowledge of reciprocating diesel and gas engines. Clear, factual, and straightforward communication style. High level of patience and focus when working with routine, repetitive, or detail-intensive tasks. Ability to work independently for extended periods, with flexibility to engage collaboratively as needed. Strong mental stamina and the ability to maintain accuracy in a role with frequent interactions and occasional disruptions. Effective time management skills with the ability to establish and meet realistic deadlines. Professional interpersonal style; multilingual capabilities are welcome. Education & Experience Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience in Diesel & Gas Engine Technology, preferably within: Marine (cruise or merchant) Power Generation Experience interacting with internal and external customers, following up on requests, and resolving issues in a practical, solution-focused manner. Additional Requirements Ability to travel up to 10% domestically. Comfort working in a structured, predictable environment with clearly defined processes.
