Description

The Field Product Support Technician for JACON Equipment will be primarily responsible for working on various mining locations within the client’s mine at Mimika, Indonesia.
JACON is a global manufacturer of shotcrete, concrete transportation, concrete pumping and utility equipment and brings with it an exciting opportunity for a seasoned technician. Experience in Mining, Civil and infrastructure, along with a sound knowledge of underground mining equipment will be considered an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES SOUGHT:

  • Previous experience in a Mechanical / Diesel Fitter and or Auto Electrician role.
  • Certificate III Fitter or Certificate III Auto Electrician or equivalent.
  • Industry experience in Mining, Infrastructure, or Manufacturing.
  • Extensive experience in equipment maintenance with formal training from OEM’s.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Highly focused toward satisfying customer requirements.
  • Concern for safety and environment.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES SOUGHT:

  • Advanced experience in Failure Analysis.
  • Advanced experience in Equipment Maintenance.
  • Advanced experience in Predictive Maintenance plans and process.
  • Experience with CAN bus systems is favorable.
  • Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce client’ Safety / NOSA standards.
  • Commissioning of new machinery as required.
  • Establish and maintain suitable records including weekly reports and action plans and other administrative tasks as directed.
  • Testing, carrying out modifications, adjustment and installations to JACON Equipment new and old machinery components and system.
  • Fault finding, repairing, replacing, and providing technical advice while keeping formal records of issues and address recurring problems.
  • Process, conduct investigation and track JACON Equipment warranty claims.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and other tasks as directed by the client management.
  • Develop and assist the national workforce of JTECH and the client workforce by providing specialized and general training.
