ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Lead is responsible for all technical aspects of product development, guiding the engineering team, setting technical standards, ensuring the product is built using best practices, and that the technical solutions are able to deliver the expected value. The Technical Lead works alongside the Product Manager and Product Designer to ensure all product requirements are understood, documented and incorporated including customer, business and technical needs, providing technical insights, & contributing to the development of the product feature roadmap assessment of product features.
DUTIES
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Product Technical Lead you will:
- Works closely with the product manager and product designers to develop the product vision, ensuring feasibility and alignment to the technical capabilities of the product team
- Translates the prioritised initiatives into a detailed technical roadmap to guide the engineering team in prioritising their work.
- Leads engineering team while serving as the connection to non-technical roles to ensure alignment between technical and business objectives. Provides clear and realistic updates on technical progress and timelines
- Leads engineers and other technical roles with coaching and professional development to deliver high quality and compliant products in an efficient manner
- Documents technical requirements and ensure user stories have the right level of technical detail for engineers to built the desired solution
- Guides product development from an engineering standpoint through to deployment. Collaborate with release teams to launch product initiatives
- Leverages deep understanding of product vision to propose and incorporate innovative technical solutions. Collaborates with Engineering Practices to ensure engineering practices evolve to support the product’s future direction.
- Contributes to concept design / Wireframe, proof of concepts, OKR development, scorecard
- Responsible for pilot design, scope and build and initiative development
- Estimate development effort, meet deadlines, deliver high-quality code, and respond to user support requests.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of support strategies, operational standard procedures, performance strategies, and configuration practices and processes to support consistency of practice
- Balance competing customer, business and technical demands to ensure agreed deliverables are achieved given the complexity, size and scale of an environment which continually challenges the technical capability boundaries
- Working collaboratively with platform, release teams and other specialists to achieve the best/most efficient outcome while effectively driving change within the Organisation
