We are keen to hear from candidates with established underwriting and product development expertise gained through experience of working within an underwriting and product development or management environment. It is essential that you are confident analysing and preparing underwriting data and ideally will have experience presenting to senior business leaders. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with comfortability presenting to large groups. Ideally you’ll be an experienced people manager (not essential) with the ability to demonstrate an enthusiasm for coaching and developing your team.
You’ll have a strong awareness of consumer duty, and an understanding of the UK insurance market, including products, regulations, and distribution channels. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate an innovative approach and ability to develop meaningful long term strategic and operational plans (including driving continuous improvement), whilst working at pace and maintaining an accurate, high quality output.
Ideally, you will hold relevant professional qualifications, typically ACII (Associateship Chartered Insurance Institute), however this is not essential and we are also really keen to hear from candidates who are qualified by experience.

ARAG UK is looking to bring on board an experienced and proficient Product Underwriting Manager to join our high performing and friendly BTE Product and Portfolio Underwriting team. The Product Underwriting Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction, design and oversight of allocated products and their technical performance. As a product owner you will be responsible for ensuring product offerings meet all legal and regulatory requirements and align with company’s strategic and financial goals. This role involves leading the development and management of market-leading products and policy wording.
