Production plays an important behind-the-scenes role in the produce trade, getting fresh fruits and vegetables into the hands of grocers and restaurants. Here’s what you’ll do: Assist in maintaining supplies (e.g., stickers, labels, etc.) for production. Completes work orders to meet customer quality, labeling, and packaging requirements. Maintains clean and sanitary workstations in accordance with standard operating procedures and chemical safety guidelines. Ensures finished product is properly palletized for safe storage and/or shipping. Maintain GMP and GFSI (food safety) standards. Participates in Continuous Improvement (CI) processes as requested to resolve problems and improve product and service quality. Maintain a thorough understanding of and compliance with OGC workplace safety rules and policies. This includes proper reporting of all accidents and safe operation of warehouse equipment. Spend a lot of time on your feet in a refrigerated setting. Perform other duties as requested. Requirements Qualified candidates will have: Regular and consistent attendance. Minimum of 1 year of related work experience; preferred experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Ability to safely lift 30-50 pounds in a refrigerated environment. High attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods of time. Knowledge of produce handling and food safety requirements, including GFSI & GMP. Ability to work on a team and foster a culture of belonging. Basic math skills. It’s helpful if you bring: The Ability to safely drive warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, rider jacks, etc., or learn safe equipment operating skills. Knowledge of Enterprise Management Systems, i.e., Produce Pro preferred. Love or knowledge about organic produce. OGC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities
