The Production Accountant will work under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance and maintain direct communication with the Executive Producer. This role is essential in ensuring the financial accuracy of our productions, with a strong focus on Ontario film tax credits and industry-specific bookkeeping practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within film, television, or media production.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario film production tax credits and financial reporting requirements.
• Understanding of film production workflows, supplier contracts, and project budgeting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately with complex data and calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

• Review and manage project budgets, ensuring approval from the Production Manager and Executive Producer.
• Assist with bookkeeping and reconciliation of expense reports, working closely with the Production Manager and financial team.
• Track and assess production-related deals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee financial documentation required for Ontario film and television tax credits, ensuring compliance with provincial requirements.
• Monitor and reconcile production expenses, keeping detailed records of costs and assets.
